Original British 11 Bore Double Barrel Percussion Shotgun by William Richards - circa 1840 German Documents & Books Director of the Royal ArmoryOriginal Item. Only One Available. Here we have a very nice and quite heavy British 11 bore double barrel percussion shotgun. Signed RICHARDS on the engraved back action lock plates, this probably indicates William Richards of Birmingham England, who took out his patents for the percussion system in 1821. His full name was William Westley Richards, and he ran a BIRMINGHAM factory that became a national Institution before the end of the Victorian Era.
