This is a very nice WWII German National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei NSDAP) Early Flag Pole Finial or Topper (Fahnenstange Endstck) Eagle, made before the official "First Pattern" was designed. It is constructed of what looks to be solid brass or possibly bronze, and is of the early multi part design. Unfortunately, while the topper still has the attachment rod, the
