WW1. 1914-15 star. Smith. South Wales Borderers. Gallipoli otherwise a lovely example ofWilliam Smith served in the Balkans with the 2nd Battalion, and would have seen action at Gallipoli (Theatre 2b) from 25 May 1915. In 2016 the regiment served in France during the Somme campaign, and in October 1916 Private smith, then 43 years old, was treated for Myalgia. He later served with the labour corps. Good VF with a replacement ribbon.
