Constructed of silvered tombak with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a white enameled disc set within a circular laurel leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel topped by an enameled HJ insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of GAUSIEGER 1938, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked G.
